How it all began

About Us

First Responder Broadband was built by a Navy veteran with one mission: to have our community’s back.

 

After more than 20 years in the Navy, it was time to build something that gave back to those who serve and have served. With a family spread across Police, Paramedics, Nursing and Defence we’ve seen firsthand the relentless demands placed on First Responders and their families. That connection is what drives everything we do.

The journey wasn’t easy — late nights, countless hurdles, and plenty of “no’s” along the way. But giving up isn’t in our DNA. A year later, we launched broadband services we’re proud to stand behind, with our name on the line.

We’re not here to play the same games as the big telcos. No lock-in contracts. No hidden catches. Just straightforward, reliable broadband that treats every customer fairly.

The more responders who join us, the stronger this community becomes. And as we grow, we’ll reinvest more into supporting the very people and families who always show up when it counts.

Our mission is simple: to deliver affordable, reliable broadband to Australia’s First Responders and their families — with the same honesty, trust, and commitment we lived by in service.

Founded by First Responders, we exist to back our own community. Every responder, every family, is valued equally — no rank, no role, no politics. And as we grow, we reinvest in the community that always shows up when it counts.

We back First Responders with an ongoing discount on every plan.

The big telcos run on much larger margins. We don’t. To give you this discount, we run lean — but as we grow, it means we can give back even more to the responder community. We’ve already got ideas on the board, and every new customer helps bring them to life.

Our promise is simple: if you’re happy, stick with us. If you’re not, tell us why and we’ll make it right. And if you’re still not happy? Move on. We don’t do lock-in contracts — every service is month to month.
