Updated: 2 days ago

At First Responder Broadband, we’re veteran and first responder–owned, and we provide ongoing internet discounts to those who serve and have served our communities.

This FAQ answers the most common questions about our discounts, plans, and verification process.

What are the most popular unlimited data internet plans?

Our most popular plans are:

  • Everyday Patrol - 50/20

  • Family Response - 100/20

  • Power Control - 250/25

All include unlimited data and are eligible for ongoing discounts (see eligibility below).

What makes us different?

First Responder Broadband is proudly veteran owned and operated. We’re focused on serving:

  • Veterans (DVA White/Gold Card holders)

  • First responders (Police, Fire, Ambulance, Paramedics, SES, Border Force, Marine Rescue, Surf lifesavers, Correctional services, and volunteers)

  • Medical professionals (verified via AHPRA)

We also prioritise transparent pricing — when prices change, both new and existing customers benefit.

How do I get ongoing discounts on internet plans?

It’s simple:

  1. Check your address and choose a plan on our nbn Plans page

  2. Sign up online — complete the form on our Sign Up page and select “Yes” for “Are you a First Responder?”

  3. Checks — we’ll review your address and options (e.g. fibre upgrade eligibility, billing period with your current ISP) and call you to discuss what’s possible.

  4. Proceed with order — we’ll submit your order

  5. Verify your eligibility — DVA White/Gold Card, AHPRA registration, or an agreed first responder ID (we understand security concerns and will work with what you’re comfortable providing).

  6. You're connected — we confirm everything looks good, ensure you’re achieving expected speeds for your selected plan, and billing commences.

No re-verification is needed.

We don’t store your ID.

The discount stays for as long as you’re with us.

Who exactly is eligible for the discount?

Eligible groups include:

  • Australian Defence Force (ADF) (current and former military personnel)

  • Ambulance officers and paramedics

  • Police

  • Firefighters

  • Doctors and nurses

  • Australian Border Force

  • State Emergency Services (SES)
